This report talks about the importance our roommates have on our lives. It talks about how they are the ones who help you adjust to college adjustment. This is, in fact, true as seen in our study most people their roommate was the first person at the school they met, and although the impact they make on our lives could be negative it could also be positive.

Throughout the interview with the female Resident Assistant, Benny Kalala she also said similar things as the Assistant Director of Res Life. She agreed that random roommates for first-years at Fairfield University for the most part successful. She also did bring up a point that there were more conflicts with girl roommates than boy roommates which we noticed in the observations as well.

The report of the study shows the effect of random roommates on students. The study took place at Dartmouth University were Freshman were also paired with random roommates. It discusses how these, roommates have an influence on your grades as well as the groups you join. Although we did not see as much of this through our research we did notice that this can in fact happens.

Throughout the interview with the Director of Res Life, we asked Meredith a series of questions about random roommates at Fairfield University and problems she sees with random roommates. It was clear that for the most pairing of random roommates based on a survey is successful.
